Leon Lazaroff served as an editor, media-industry reporter and political writer at TheStreet from 2013 to 2017. Prior to joining the company, Lazaroff was a reporter at Bloomberg News on its media and emerging-markets teams, a national correspondent for the Chicago Tribune, and through much of the 1990s a foreign correspondent reporting from Mexico and Spain with the Associated Press and other outlets. He completed the Knight-Bagehot Fellowship in Economics and Business Journalism at Columbia University in 2002 and earned a master’s degree in journalism and a bachelor of arts in history from the University of Wisconsin long before its basketball team was any good.
